Aquarius From ParkSustainable, Solar-Powered Condominium First of Its Kind

ATLANTA – Lily Development, LLC has announced development plans for Aquarius Tower, a 38-story, 240,000-square-foot development that will redefine Atlanta’s downtown skyline and incorporate advanced technological and sustainable features that are rarely seen in the United States. The site is located at the corner of Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard and Luckie Street. Construction is slated to begin in summer 2007 and to be complete by fall 2009.

Designed by PFVS Architects, Inc., Aquarius Tower is the first condominium in Georgia to incorporate solar and wind energy into its design. The roof-top solar panels will harness the power of the sun and the state-of-the-art wind turbines will channel high winds into usable energy. Aquarius Tower will include various sustainable features throughout the project and will utilize recycled building materials and thermally-efficient products.

“Aquarius Tower is where urban living, technology and nature can exist in harmony, said Antonio Escandari, president of Lily Development. “Homes can be more than just functional; they can reflect each owner’s desire to preserve the environment while being contemporary, distinctive and cutting edge.

Homeowners will experience Georgia’s first automated, underground valet parking service. Popularized in Europe and the Far East, this system reduces garage space, eliminates the risk of vehicle damage or theft, and reduces pollution (vehicles are not driven within the parking structure).

“We turned to a quote by Paul Valery for inspiration when designing Aquarius Tower, explains PFVS principal, Haitham Haddad. “According to Valery, ’There are buildings that are mute, buildings that speak, and buildings that sing.’ Aquarius Tower is poised to sing to Atlanta.

Aquarius Tower’s one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans, which range from 850 to 2,100 square feet or cherry cabinetry, granite countertops, large ceramic-tiled bathrooms, private balconies, generous walk-in closets, high-speed Internet wiring and wireless capability, pre-wired surround sound, and individual storage space for each condo unit. Units range from the $300s to $900s and the four penthouses range at $1 million to $2.5 million.

The controlled-access condominium has a 24-hour concierge, swimming pool with two-story sundeck that overlooks the park, spa, exercise room, event and club lounge, media room, board room and guest suite.

Aquarius Tower is strategically located across from the Georgia Aquarium. The mast-like frame of the 34-story tower complements the aquarium’s boat-shaped design while giving all 112 homes southern exposure and spectacular unobstructed views of Centennial Olympic Park.

Aquarius Tower is part of a wave of construction and redevelopment in the downtown area – which includes new hotels, the NEW World of Coca-Cola and the proposed “restaurant row – and is within walking distance to several attractions, including Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Dome, Philips Arena, Georgia World Congress Center, CNN, and a variety of shops and restaurants, offering urban living with panache to young professionals and empty nesters alike.

Sales and marketing will be provided by Team Spirit Realty & Investment. For more information about this unique condominium please call 770-623-8282 or visit www.AquariusTower.com.
