Brock Built City Neighborhoods is proud to announce its partnership with Piedmont Park Conservancy, WSB-TV, the City of Atlanta, neighborhood groups and the community, in replacing the outdated Saturn playground with a new Boundless™ play area for children and parents of all capabilities.
WSB-TV will film the entire process for a one-hour, prime time “Extreme Park Makeover” segment that will air during the week of September 2. Brock Built is supplying free labor for both playground and restroom construction, which will begin in July. Construction will be complete by Saturday, September 1, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the new Mayor’s Grove Boundless™ Playground.

Kairos Development Corporation announces the start of construction on another “Live Life Community”, The Astoria at The Aramore, a luxury high rise consisting of 71 exclusive condominiums located within “the living room of Atlanta” just south of Peachtree Battle in Fulton County.
Condos are priced from the $400,000s, and penthouses from the $900,000s.

Novare’s new unnamed development that will span along Peachtree and Juniper bordered by 7th and 6th streets, will include three towers offering about 1,100 condos.
First tower will raise 36 stories high offering 380 units; the second and third towers raising around 33 stories (plans are still in the works) will feature 350-260 units.
All the three towers will share common amenities built atop a one and a half parking deck. Another promising fact about this development is the 30,000 sq ft, two stories retail space.

From the company that brought Atlanta the Element and ATLofts, Lane Company, comes a new development plan: 100 condos and 216 apartments located on Perimeter Center East in Dunwoody near Perimeter Mall.
Lane Company, has purchased 6.29 acres in the Perimeter area for $10.7 million from Equity Office Properties Trust.
While the whole project is expected to be finished in Summer of 2008, the first residents are likely to occupy their new homes in the Fall of 2007.

Just after the news of 3630 Peachtree towers being build right next to Phipps Plaza, another proposed development is announced. 3500 Peachtree Road is not only the address of Phipps Plaza, but of the newly proposed high rise condo/hotel tower to be built by the same developer who built the Paramount at Buckhead: Hanover Co. The development will have 530 high-rise condominium units, 250 hotel rooms, 50,000 square feet retail space, and 8,500 square feet restaurant space.

The new office building that will rise in Atlantic Station - Atlanta’s new modern mixed-use district with shops, townhouses, office buildings and parks - is located behind the Wachovia tower, and will be designed by architects at Perkins & Will.
One Market Street will be a 17 story office tower, and the first tenant will possibly constitute Atlanta’s branch of South Carolina’s largest law firm: Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough.
The new office tower is expected to open by Spring 2007.

Aqua Midtown, the new development from Tivoli Properties - located in close proximity to Plaza Midtown, on the corner of West Peachtree and 10th Steet - will feature one, two, and three bedroom units. Prices are rumored to start in the $200s for a one bedroom condo, $400s for a two bedroom unit, and $700s for a three bedroom condo. Aqua will also feature a 3,400 SF of ground retail. The construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2006, with a timetable of 17 months to completion. Aqua’s marketing efforts will be targeted towards the older, wealthier population that affords a more luxurious, high-class lifestyle.

Property in talk is a fiber optics manufacturing plant, OFS, at the corner of Jimmy Carter and I-85.
The plant is running at 14% of its climax capacity, and the fiber optics sector has declined drastically, plans to sell part of the 110 acres are talked about.
Since the County Commission is willing to consider new zoning changes like high-rise condos, office space and shopping, most of the bidders have submitted proposals that look like a small city.
If approved, in the future, we might be seeing a mini Live-Work-Play Atlantic Station in Norcross.

The Mansion, a newly proposed highrise condo/hotel on Peachtree, will rise near the heart of the city in the exclusive Buckhead district. City Centre Properties promise "abundant living and six-star service".
The Mansion is a 124 hotel rooms and 35 exclusively designed condominiums mixed-use development, with a projected opening timeframe in the 3rd quarter of 2007. The hotel will be operated by Rosewood Hotels.
